Rick Hall
(Head Coach)
About You I have been involved in the competitive scene of swimming since the age of 9 from which I progressed through the swimming club set up at Preston and was part of the first wave of swimmers to enter the new Gallica Performance Squad set up. Under the mentorship of Dave Evitts and Rob Greenwood I won national medals for club, college and university. In 2007 I decided to officially hang up my trunks and start coaching after already achieving my teaching and coaching qualifcations. I spent time with Gallica while also coaching squads at Preston and later Pioneer 79. In August 2008 I was asked to coach as an assistant at Gallica, a position which I am still doing at this moment. At the same time I was also completing university in which I achieved a First Class Honours Degree in Sports Coaching. In May 2009 I was appointed Head Coach of Blackburn Centurions Swimming Club and I hope to build on the success that has come before me.

I am incredibly motivated and ambitious and I am striving to develop myself as a coach all the time. I believe that success comes through hard work, a positive attitude and the ability to learn. I want this not only to be my belief, but the belief of all the swimmers, parents and coaches connected with Blackburn Swimming Club.
